Pathology Events

*** Slide readings with the pathology faculty and residents are being held on Fridays at noon in room 202 Goss ***

 

Ongoing Pathology Events — all are welcome!

●   Histopath seminars with the residents happen every Tuesday @ 4:00 in 322 Goss.

●   Gross Rounds with the Ohio Department of Agriculture are held the last week of every month following the weekly histopath seminar — keep an eye out for emails from Dr. Weisbrode about these.

●   Cytology rounds are conducted by the clinical pathology department every Friday @ 12:00 in room 21 of the vet hospital (the conference room by the clinical lab hallway).

●    The Infectious Disease Interest Group (IDIG) meets regularly to hear talks on current infectious disease research and issues.  Watch for emails from Dr. Burkhard annoucing the dates and locations.

●    Specialty path rounds are noted on the calendar above and held in room 202 Goss.  However they are sometimes announced with little notice, in which case you’ll receive a listserve email from Dr. Weisbrode.

●    Necropsy services commence Monday through Friday at noon and Saturdays at 9:00 AM in the Gross Path facilities.  Vet students are welcome to come observe and help out; just grab some gloves, a plastic apron, and shoe covers.  Cases come from a variety of facilities, including the Columbus Zoo.
